Āwhina - original painting

Āwhina is a word used in Māori language which means to give help, provide aid and support one another. This painting is about not only giving support and help to those in need, but also to allow yourself to receive help and ask for support when you need it. Often it is much harder to ask and receive than it is to give, but we all need to one another’s support and care and different times in our lives. When we can open up and allow that in, the right people will come to help in the way that you need it.
