We all have a natural affinity with animals but not all of us can remember this. As young children we relish in the company of our pets and the animals we meet and interact with. 

This painting is about awakening and cherishing that connection we have with animals. When we spend time with animals and care for them, we realise that they give and teach us so much - making our connection and affinity with animals an integral part of our evolution as a human.
